The 2012 2013 season saw the Tigers playing in their 3rd campaign Championship following their relegation from the Premier League in 2009/10.
Managed by Steve Bruce, whose son Alex Bruce was also playing regularly for the side, the club fought hard for promotion taking it all the way to the final day of the season where they dramatically secured 2nd place and automatic promotion after watching Watford fail to beat Leeds in their final game.
